Most famous for his Xanth series, he's a terrible punner, highly imaginative, and has a wicked sense of humor.

Baen Books
Baen is a publisher specializing in the Science Fiction and Fantasy genres. They are also proponets of "open" books (i.e. not locked down). Check out their free library for some great reads.
