Edar is the Primal Darkness that brought forth the Bright Lands and the Bright Gods, who then created Life to amuse Edar. Edar is both Masculine and Feminine, often portrayed as a hermaphrodite and for this reason is not called He nor She and definitely not It. All things are possible within the Primal Darkness, both good and ill, so Edar is rarely called upon by any but the most desperate of souls. According to myth, once Life ceases to amuse Edar, Edar will swallow back up the Bright Lands and all within it.
