Amerte
Usually a vampire and usually the instigator of the bond, the dominant in an amerte-mondav bond supplying the control.

Camarilla
A group of elder, powerful advisors who serve the leige. It is generally considered a weakness in a young leige to have a strong camarilla, whereas when leige is an ancient, the larger the camarilla, the more powerful the ancient.

Vampires bound to a leige who move into otherwise unoccupied terrirtory or territory that the leige believes is not occupied by an entrenched and worthy leige

Vampires currently serving their demi-leige. Also, a coterie may be the leige's inner court

Danzupyr
the not-yet-undead. infected with the vampire virus, the danzupyr begin to experience a vampire's weaknesses before the virus kills them (usu from 1 to 2 weeks, rarely before 5 days). if the virus penetracted the heart, lungs, and brain stem, then they rise again in a few days time as a fledgling. Otherwise, they just don't rise - ever.

Dark Night
As vampires reach a certain age or experiance threshold, they slip into a lengthy slumber known as the Dark Night. This can last for centuries. Some vampires who enter their Dark Night fade to dust. Those who rise from it are stronger and scarier than when they entered their Night.

Despised
A sire-less vampire. Some lineages are more … casual about embracing fledglings than others, but it is generally frowned upon in vampire society to embrace a fledgling and leave him without direction. Without his sire to guide him, fledglings often make fatal mistakes, ones that can draw unwanted attention to the preternatural communities at large.

Embrace
The act of creating a new vampire. Depending on the potency of the fledgling's spirit, the virus can take root in one night or not for several months of constant exposure. There are a very few who are completely immune to the embrace. the Sire drains most of the blood from the potential danzupyr over a prolonged length of time and then feeds the chosen embracee large quantities of his own blood.

the Rage
Vampires under stress can enter a semi-feral state, known as the Rage. Newer vampires are often mindless with the Rage, lashing out at anything they view as dangerous. Older vamps are more often capable of controlling themselves while in the grip of the Rage, but if the someone or thing similar enough to what set off their Rage is close enough, the vampire will attempt to destroy it at all costs.
